KARISMA III was premiered by The Umeå Symphony Orchestra and Roy Goodman, November 11th 1999.

The UmeŒ Symphony Orchestra's project with young composers from The PiteŒ Music University continued the evening with Martin Willert's "Karisma III". It was a short, but substantial work with a fresh approach in the effects of timbre, which made the listeners thoughts wander towards programmatic visions. Besides a capturing expression, there was also a logical structure built on a presumed minimalistic thought.

The concert also treated the absolutely crowded IDUN-theatre with a newly written work Karisma III by Martin Willert (b.1974). A praise to Roy Goodman who obviously knows how to encourage the young composer generation. Contrasts between the principal violinist Jan Bj¿ranger's beautiful violin tone and the hissing brass players with comments of various percussion created a relatively approachable work, with a genuine musical structure as foundation.

Umeå Symfoniorkesters satsning på unga kompositörer från Piteå Musikhögskola fortsatte kvällen med Martin Willerts "Karisma III". Ett kort, men innehållsrikt verk var det med fräscht tänkande i de klangliga effekterna som fick lyssnarens tankar att sväva iväg mot tydliga programmusikaliska visioner. Bortsett från ett fängslande uttryck fanns även en logisk struktur byggd på en förmodad minimalistisk tanke.

Konserten bjöd också den absolut fullsatta IDUN-teaterns publik på ett nyskrivet verk Karisma III av Martin Willert (f 1974). En eloge till Roy Goodman som uppenbarligen vet hur man entuiasmerar den unga tonsättargenerationen. Kontraster mellan primarien Jan Björangers vackra violintonen och de väsande bleckblåsare med inpass av diverse slagverk åstadkom ett förhållandevis lättillgängligt verk, med en genuin musikalisk struktur i botten.
